Driver (Piloto) – Central Office, Guatemala City

About the role

The Driver (Piloto) will be responsible for safely transporting Save the Children staff, external partners, visitors, and project collaborators using the organization’s vehicle fleet. The role also includes loading, delivering, and unloading supplies and materials required for project implementation across various impact areas.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain custody of the assigned vehicle and ensure compliance with local policies and procedures.
• Transport internal and external personnel, international representatives, consultants, and partners to central offices, field offices, and project sites according to the supervisor’s schedule.
• Load, transport, and unload project supplies, tools, equipment, and materials in coordination with the supervisor and procurement department.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the vehicle and report any defects for timely repair.
• Support administrative tasks such as inventory, gardening, and general facility upkeep when not engaged in primary driving duties.
• Monitor additional vehicle units assigned by the supervisor and complete required maintenance documentation.
• Provide logistical support to ongoing projects, including coordination of repair and maintenance services for both four‑wheel and two‑wheel vehicles.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and proven experience operating motor vehicles.
• Ability to handle loading and unloading of materials safely.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours during emergencies.
• Good knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance procedures.
• Strong adherence to safety and organizational policies.
