Expert in Legal and Fiscal Issues (Cat. II)

About the role

NTU International A/S, an international consulting firm providing project management and technical advisory services, is recruiting an Expert in Legal and Fiscal Issues (Cat. II) for an EU-funded project in Guatemala supporting the circular economy in the Motagua River Basin. The position provides specialised technical assistance in regulatory and fiscal reform, circular economy policy, sustainable investment frameworks and public-private cooperation, working with ministries, state institutions and local authorities on a demand-driven basis.

Required profile

• Degree (at least 3 years of university studies) in political science, law, sustainable finance, economics, international trade, public-private relations, engineering or a related field; alternatively a bachelor's degree in the same fields plus 5 years of proven experience in those sectors.
• At least 6 years of professional experience managing cooperation programmes and projects providing technical assistance in the green transition (water and sanitation, waste, energy, biodiversity) and private sector development policy and reform, including professional, commercial and advisory bodies.
• At least 5 years of experience preparing technical assistance work, such as studies and terms of reference that align sectoral and investment frameworks with EU circular economy principles, including incentives for European investment, extended producer responsibility and the polluter pays principle.
• Spanish at C2 level (mandatory) and English at minimum C1 level (mandatory).
