Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Python), Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStack is looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who will embed within client enterprise teams across Latin America. You will identify AI‑appropriate problems, design end‑to‑end agentic systems, ship production‑grade solutions, and ensure they operate reliably after launch.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops with business, data, and engineering stakeholders to assess data readiness and define AI use‑cases.
• Architect and design retrieval‑centric agentic systems, including embeddings, hybrid search, reranking, knowledge graphs, and human‑in‑the‑loop safeguards.
• Build and ship production services, own CI/CD pipelines for AI (prompt versioning, evaluation suites) and manage day‑2 operations such as observability, cost, latency, and drift.
• Present technical decisions to senior leaders (CTOs, VPs, CDOs) and support pre‑sales scoping when needed.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience across machine learning, data engineering, and software development.
• Python‑first production background; experience with TypeScript/Node.NET/C#, or Java is a plus.
• Proven track record as an ML/Data Architect, Principal Engineer, or Tech Lead delivering AI solutions in regulated environments.
• Strong consulting skills: ability to run client workshops, uncover business and personal drivers, and translate technical decisions into business outcomes.

Required skills

• Python (typed, tested, deployed services).
• Embeddings, vector and hybrid search, reranking, structured output.
• LLM operations (prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, retrieval‑augmented generation).
• Agentic tooling such as Claude Code, agent frameworks, tool/function calling, multi‑agent orchestration.
• CI/CD for AI / MLOps (LLMOps), evaluation harnesses, observability.
• Data integration: ETL/ELT patterns, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, APIs, event streams, iPaaS.
