Infield Mentor – Missionary Training (Guatemala)

About the role

The Infield Mentor supports missionaries in Guatemala by providing coaching, instruction, and feedback across a range of training settings. This entry‑level contributor works closely with the Training department to help missionaries develop language skills, gospel knowledge, and effective teaching techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation, and large‑group workshops.
• Prepare and present lessons following the approved curriculum, often alongside a co‑teacher.
• Monitor missionary participation in Canvas discussion boards and track progress.
• Coordinate with area leadership, mission leadership, and the Missionary Department as needed.
• Assist in assessing language proficiency of missionaries and teacher applicants.
• Participate in weekly training meetings and co‑teacher collaborations.
• Occasionally role‑play as a non‑member to support training scenarios.

Required profile

• Returned missionary with a strong testimony of the restored gospel.
• Fluency in English and the specified second language (for language‑focused positions).
• Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated, professional, and receptive to feedback.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
