Linux & Scripting Instructor

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Linux & Scripting Instructor to join our IRSI academy. The role combines deep technical knowledge of Linux systems and automation with a strong desire to teach and mentor future IT professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and hands‑on labs on Linux administration and scripting.
• Design practical exercises and laboratory scenarios that reflect real‑world environments.
• Create, review and continuously update course materials, technical documentation and lab guides.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and track academic progress.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of curricula and teaching methodologies.
• Promote best practices in system administration, automation and scripting.
• Recommend new tools and approaches to enhance the learning experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Linux system administration, automation and scripting.
• Proven experience delivering technical training, workshops or classroom instruction.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Empathy, organization and a proactive attitude toward student success.

Required skills

• Linux system administration (command line, GNU tools).
• Bash and Shell scripting.
• Automation of tasks and processes.
• Management of files, permissions, users, processes and services.
• Fundamental networking and security concepts in Linux environments.
• Python or other scripting languages (highly valued).
• Design of technical labs and exercises.
• Development of educational content and teaching methodologies.
