About the role

We are looking for a Farm Operative to carry out field activities according to established procedures, ensuring optimal results for the farm. The role involves feeding, monitoring, and caring for pigs while maintaining biosecurity and equipment functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Execute automated and manual feeding procedures for pigs, providing feed and water while minimizing waste.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure suitable environmental conditions for animal performance.
• Monitor animal health and mortality, administer medication or remove affected animals as required.
• Observe pig groups to identify low‑performing individuals and take corrective actions.
• Apply biosecurity protocols in the work area to protect animal health.
• Receive and load animals for transfer according to the value‑chain procedures.

Required profile

• Secondary education (high school) completed.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar farm or livestock position.
• Basic knowledge of animal care and handling.

Required skills

• Familiarity with feeding equipment (automated and manual).
• Ability to perform basic equipment checks.
• Understanding of biosecurity measures.
