Piloto de Transporte Cabezal

About the role

We are looking for a Piloto de Transporte Cabezal (Head Transport Pilot) to operate and manage the organization’s transport vehicles. The role ensures safe, timely delivery of goods while complying with national traffic regulations and internal service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip inspections, checking oil, coolant, fuel, battery and overall vehicle condition according to the checklist.
• Drive assigned vehicles safely, following the planned route and adapting to hazards or blockages while notifying supervisors.
• Handle documentation, valuables and product inspections for both receipt and delivery, ensuring compliance with risk‑management, quality and legal requirements.
• Maintain product quality during transport, especially for perishable goods, in line with sanitary regulations.
• Execute the organization’s service model to guarantee customer satisfaction and protect the company’s image.
• Transport materials, equipment, products and personnel to designated locations, confirming successful receipt and hand‑over.

Required profile

• Secondary education (9th grade or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Valid Type “A” driver’s license permitting operation of vehicles of 18 tons or more.
• Ability to work independently on the road and follow route plans.

Required skills

• Operation of vehicles ≥18 tons (heavy‑vehicle driving).
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance.
• Handling of perishable products during transport.
• Use of allied equipment related to cargo handling.
• Numerical ability for load calculations and documentation.
