Preconstruction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, factory pricing, and bid management for our international client. This remote position offers the chance to work with U.S. construction standards while collaborating with sales and purchasing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and competitive pricing proposals for construction projects.
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction documents and analyze supplier quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, drawing conflicts, specification ambiguities, and potential project risks.
• Manage bid deadlines, RFIs, addenda, and submission requirements.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or bid management within the construction industry.
• Proven knowledge of U.S. construction processes, standards, and project workflows.
• Strong background in factory pricing, supplier quotations, and cost analysis.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for maintaining accurate estimating data.
• Cost estimating and budgeting expertise.
• Construction drawing interpretation and material takeoff skills.
• Bid management and proposal preparation.
