Regional Project Manager – River Cleanup

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Project Manager to lead river‑cleanup initiatives across Guatemala and Honduras. The role focuses on preventing plastic waste from entering the oceans through effective project execution, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination. Based remotely in Guatemala City, the position involves regular travel within the two countries and occasional international trips.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute river‑cleanup projects from inception to hand‑over.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks and deliverables.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and local partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders.
• Support procurement, permitting and regulatory processes.
• Monitor performance, produce regular updates and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with global teams to align projects with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management or a related field.
• 8 + years of proven project‑management experience.
• Strong stakeholder and partner management abilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules and risks.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental impact.
