RF Planning Engineer

About the role

GUANETSF, an expertise centre of the NJJ Telecom Group, is expanding its RF team. The RF Planning Engineer will design, dimension and optimise mobile access networks (2G/3G/4G/5G) for operators across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑level and detailed design studies (HLD & LLD) for RAN solutions and equipment.
• Engineer new radio sites and integrate additional LTE/5G frequency bands.
• Conduct radio coverage simulations and validate site locations considering environmental and marketing constraints.
• Manage frequency plans, scrambling codes, PCI/RSI assignments.
• Produce technical documentation, activity reports, KPIs and trackers.

Required profile

• Telecom Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in RF planning.
• Strong team spirit, continuous learning attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Fluent in English (B2 level) – both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Mobile network technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G.
• Radio Access Network knowledge (RAN solutions, OSS – Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE).
• Radio planning tools: Atoll, Planet, Asset/Aircom.
• Frequency/SC/PCI/RSI planning.
• Automation & scripting (Python, SQL) – plus reporting tools such as Power BI.
