Técnico BOP

About the role

The BOP Technician leads, supervises and executes preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for substations, transmission lines, turbines and all physical plant infrastructure. The role ensures equipment reliability, availability and safety in accordance with operational manuals and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise and perform maintenance activities on substations, transmission lines, turbines and plant facilities.
• Test and interrogate protection relays, meters and other electrical components to collect data on maneuvers, historical events and system quality.
• Inspect subcontractor work and plant equipment to guarantee quality and prevent failures.
• Analyze and report failures in physical installations, 34.5 kV cells, transformers and transmission assets.
• Identify training needs, deliver technical training to junior staff and support competency development.
• Contribute to the optimization of maintenance plans and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Technical electrical education (certified) or at least 10 years proven maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, make safety‑critical decisions and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Experience in a high‑voltage environment, preferably within renewable‑energy or power‑generation facilities.
