About the role

The Maintenance Technician (Level 2) is responsible for executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems. The role ensures equipment reliability and supports continuous operation of the generation plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plant components and infrastructure according to established procedures.
• Generate detailed work reports linked to work orders to document maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas following 5S methodology.
• Monitor and report progress of maintenance plans, corrective orders and improvement tasks.
• Identify situations that could delay planned maintenance and communicate them promptly.

Required profile

• Complete secondary education (Diversified) or technical degree in Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics or Mechanics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar maintenance roles.
• Residence near Jutiapa, Comapa or Jalpatagua.
• Strong knowledge of basic mathematics and physics.

Required skills

• AC and DC electricity, low and medium voltage systems.
• Asynchronous generators, transformers, electric motors.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Electronics: controls, converters, communications, PLCs.
• Hydraulics: valves, pumps, accumulators, schematics.
• Industrial mechanics and metallurgy (gears, bearings, torque, lubrication, welding).
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
