AI Software Engineer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to design, build, and ship internal web applications that streamline operations and reduce software licensing costs. The role is fully remote for professionals living in LATAM or the Caribbean and combines hands‑on engineering with a product‑focused mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and maintain internal web tools using AI‑assisted development environments (e.g., Replit, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Partner with leadership to identify high‑cost third‑party software and replace it with purpose‑built internal solutions, estimating cost savings for each project.
• Write clean, documented, and maintainable code following source‑control and deployment best practices while applying security and data‑protection standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to scope, prioritize, demo, and document new tools, ensuring transparent backlog communication.
• Track delivery KPIs such as tools shipped, cost savings, adoption rates, and uptime, and propose new internal tooling opportunities.

Required profile

• Live in LATAM or the Caribbean.
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping web applications quickly.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (C1/C2 level) to communicate effectively with US‑based teams.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools (Replit, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.).
• Proven experience working in Scrum/Agile frameworks with sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.
