QA Automation Engineer – Web & API Testing

About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about software quality and will own the testing of web applications throughout the development lifecycle. You will combine manual and automated testing to identify risks, validate functionality and ensure reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and execute detailed test plans, test cases and regression suites based on business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing for web applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Test REST APIs, including request/response validation, status codes and error scenarios.
• Manage the defect lifecycle: identification, documentation, reproduction, triage, validation and regression verification.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Communicate progress, risks, defects and blockers proactively.
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing and CI/CD‑integrated testing practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with functional and regression testing of web applications.
• Experience building, maintaining and executing automated test suites for web applications.
• Hands‑on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Experience testing REST APIs and validating complex integrations.
• Ability to independently design test plans, test cases and regression suites.
• Solid understanding of the defect lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
