Computer Scientist – Algorithmic Solutions (Remote)

About the role

Join BairesDev’s elite remote team to tackle some of the toughest algorithmic challenges in computer science. You will design scalable solutions for inference, ranking, matching, classification, and optimization on massive datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms for inference, ranking, matching, classification, and prediction problems.
• Create scalable heuristics that operate on datasets containing hundreds of millions of records.
• Analyze computational complexity and optimise systems for large‑scale execution.
• Develop evaluation methodologies and validation frameworks to measure solution quality.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into well‑defined computational problems.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to productionise algorithms and experiments.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or close to completion.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound engineering judgement.
• Proficiency in Python (or other general‑purpose programming languages).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production‑quality software.
• Comfort working on ambiguous, open‑ended problems and turning them into concrete solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
