Accounting Assistant

About the role

Join a purpose‑driven team that supports airlines, airports and hospitality businesses across the Caribbean and Latin America. As an Accounting Assistant you will ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers and employees while maintaining proper documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and record checks or transfers for supplier payments, supporting each transaction with purchase and receipt documentation.
• Verify that invoices meet tax requirements and apply appropriate withholdings based on supplier and company regimes.
• Prepare payroll checks and other employee‑related payments as authorized by HR.
• Process advance payments to suppliers, apply required withholdings, and maintain supporting documents.
• Track supplier advances and ensure they are settled and recorded promptly.
• File all payment documents in an orderly, chronological manner.
• Provide required documents for internal and external audits.
• Maintain a register of third‑party check deliveries, including responsible parties and accompanying documents.
