DevOps Engineer (Azure + On-Premise) – Remote – Latin America

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and on‑premise infrastructure to join our client’s engineering team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and developers, ensuring reliable delivery pipelines and scalable environments across cloud and data‑center resources.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain production Kubernetes clusters in Azure.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab.
• Manage on‑premise infrastructure, including OpenStack, QEMU or Hyper‑V environments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting using Zabbix, Prometheus and the ELK Stack.
• Handle database administration for PostgreSQL, Redis and ClickHouse, and manage distributed storage such as Ceph, NFS and S3.
• Apply security hardening, integrate SIEM tools (Wazuh) and vulnerability scanners (Snyk, SonarQube) into pipelines.
• Develop disaster‑recovery strategies and automated backups (e.g., AWS S3 Glacier).

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (four‑year college).
• Proven track record of deploying and scaling Kubernetes in production.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.
