About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Communication Specialist to lead the external communication strategy of a well‑established private‑sector company in Guatemala. The role involves building trusted relationships, managing media interactions, and strengthening the organization’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement corporate and external communication strategies.
• Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, strategic partners and other stakeholders.
• Develop press releases, speeches, presentations, newsletters and other institutional materials.
• Coordinate communication for corporate events, press conferences and institutional activities.
• Monitor media coverage and provide recommendations to enhance corporate reputation.
• Support crisis communication, ensuring timely and aligned messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication, Communications, Corporate Communication, Public Relations or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in corporate or institutional communication within the private sector.
• Proven experience managing media relations, drafting press releases and developing external communication strategies.
• Excellent writing, spelling and ability to convey messages to diverse audiences.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, build strategic relationships and manage confidential information with discretion.
