Field Support Technician

About the role

MANTECH is looking for a motivated Field Support Technician to provide advanced onsite and remote technical support in Guatemala City. The role focuses on complex troubleshooting, hardware and software issue resolution, and ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced onsite and remote technical support, handling complex problem resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; install and configure equipment.
• Perform onsite maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting while communicating technical concepts clearly to clients.
• Develop and maintain knowledge‑base articles and training materials.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years IT service desk or desktop support experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and presentations.

Required skills

• Hardware and software troubleshooting, including network configuration.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and mobile device management solutions.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation tools and ticketing systems.
