Finance Applications Development Analyst – Guatemala & El Salvador

About the role

This position combines deep finance knowledge with hands‑on technical development skills to drive automation and efficiency across financial processes. You will design, build, test, and deploy solutions that reduce manual effort in month‑end close, reconciliations, reporting, and controls, while ensuring audit‑ready documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automated solutions for financial optimization, including reconciliations, journal entries, and data validation routines.
• Integrate automation tools with TELUS automation teams and embed controls and exception handling into workflows.
• Create and maintain technical and process documentation for audit purposes.
• Lead process‑optimization initiatives to eliminate redundant steps before automation.
• Map current‑state financial processes and design future‑state workflows.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance stakeholders to understand pain points and ensure smooth adoption.
• Track and report efficiency gains, time savings, and error‑reduction metrics.
• Extract, transform, and load financial data from multiple systems for automation use.
• Develop automated reports and dashboards for financial analysis.
• Monitor automation performance and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Workday.
• Ability to work on‑site or remotely based on business needs.
