FP&A Opex Analyst

About the role

Join TELUS Digital as an FP&A Opex Analyst to support the operational management of operating expenses and drive finance transformation initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional leaders, providing data‑driven insights that shape budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for Opex across multiple functions.
• Build and maintain financial models, dashboards and reports to monitor Opex performance and identify trends.
• Conduct variance analysis, highlighting spending risks and opportunities.
• Assist business leaders with analytical insights for planning and decision‑making.
• Participate in monthly close activities, including accruals, allocations and reconciliations.
• Ensure data accuracy in planning and reporting systems; automate recurring reports where possible.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams for data validation and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate and improve FP&A and Opex processes, supporting standardisation and automation projects.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and cross‑functional process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis or corporate finance.
• Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
• Financial modeling and dashboard creation.
• Variance analysis and reporting.
