Human Resources Associate

About the role

Five Star Solutions is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized HR Associate to support its Human Resources operations in Guatemala. The role assists with employee documentation, IGSS administration, payroll processing, new‑hire compliance, employee records, and other day‑to‑day HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare employment and wage verification letters, bank letters, and other employee documentation.
• Review and verify IGSS documentation, handle intake requests and maintain related tracking.
• Document paid and unpaid employee time accurately in HR and payroll systems.
• Assist with payroll preparation and processing, ensuring information accuracy.
• Audit employment contracts and employee files for completeness.
• Upload employment contracts to the Labor Ministry system as needed.
• Verify new‑hire paperwork and ensure all required documentation is received.
• Validate background‑check documentation, including QR code verification when applicable.
• Maintain physical and digital employee files for compliance, legal, and audit purposes.
• Coordinate locker assignments and other general employee administrative needs.
• Support HR compliance audits and various HR projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in Human Resources, payroll, HR administration, or a related role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience handling confidential employee information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (C1 level or above).
• Ability to work independently and follow established HR processes.
