About the role

The Head of Research and Development will be the engine of innovation, leading the creation of new food products, continuous process improvement, and portfolio evolution. The role identifies market opportunities, transforms ideas into successful solutions, and ensures every development meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive innovation and development of new food products.
• Lead strategic R&D projects.
• Continuously improve processes, formulations, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Commercial, Quality, Purchasing, and Marketing teams.
• Evaluate and develop new raw materials, ingredients, and suppliers.
• Guide and develop the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Graduate and active member of Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to travel between company sites.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research, development or innovation of food products, preferably in the meat industry.
• Strong knowledge of food regulations and applicable legislation.
• Experience in project management, product formulation and industrial processes is highly valued.
