About the role

Cargill is seeking a night‑shift Operator I to join its Food division in Guatemala City. The role is permanent and involves operating production machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting quality‑focused manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Package and select products according to specifications.
• Transport baskets and ensure proper receipt of product‑loaded rods.
• Box, demold, cut and peel products as required.
• Work across different production areas to meet output targets while adhering to safety and quality policies.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Completed primary education or higher.
• Physical ability to bend, climb stairs, kneel, squat, twist, and lift up to 25 kg.
• Capacity to work in noisy, dusty or chemical environments using personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to work night shifts (Sunday‑Thursday 18:00‑02:00) and occasional overtime, weekends or holidays.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including cold temperatures (45‑50 °F).

Required skills

• Knowledge of BPMs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Understanding of HACCP principles.
