About the role

The Head Transport Pilot is responsible for safely operating heavy‑duty vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of goods while complying with national traffic regulations and company service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check and maintain lubricant levels (oil, coolant, fuel, battery) and overall vehicle condition according to a prescribed checklist.
• Execute driving, safety, value handling, and documentation procedures, inspecting products on receipt and delivery.
• Control product conditions during transport, guaranteeing quality and compliance with sanitary regulations.
• Follow the planned route to optimize resources and preserve vehicle integrity.
• Transport materials, equipment, products, and personnel to designated destinations, ensuring accurate receipt and hand‑over.
• Mitigate external risks and adapt routes when hazards or blockages occur, notifying supervisors as required.

Required profile

• Secondary education (9th grade or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Valid Type “A” driver’s license permitting operation of vehicles of 18 tons or more.

Required skills

• Ability to operate vehicles weighing 18 tons or more.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
• Handling of perishable products during transport.
• Operation of allied equipment related to cargo handling.
• Numerical ability for documentation and load calculations.
