Volunteer Accountant for Mindfulness Charity in Guatemala (2‑4 weeks)

About the role

We are looking for a volunteer accountant to support a mindfulness‑based mental‑health charity in Guatemala for a short 2‑4‑week assignment. You will help the organisation strengthen its financial management after recent changes and the shift to online programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing spreadsheets and accounting tools to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
• Assist the Director in analysing project and organisational budgets.
• Extend the use of Odoo beyond sales recording to include full accounting functionality.
• Prepare or update the annual report, donor reports and related financial documentation.
• Provide general advice on financial processes and reporting as the charity rebuilds its programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified accounting professional with experience in non‑profit or charitable finance.
• Comfortable working on‑site in Guatemala for a short period.
• Ability to assess and improve existing financial systems and reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills.
