AI Engineer (Remote, Guatemala City)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer across its operations. As an AI Engineer you will own and ship internal automation workflows, turning documented roadmaps into production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Integrate with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
• Create internal tools to reduce manual effort in design and development processes.
• Build automation pipelines linking WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and the internal CMS.
• Implement MCP server integrations within the broader AI stack.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven track record of API integration with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English proficiency sufficient for asynchronous written communication with a US‑based team.
