LLM Engineer (Remote, Quetzaltenango)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer across its workflows. As an LLM Engineer you will own and ship the internal automation roadmap, turning documented workflows into production systems. This is a builder role focused on implementation, not research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Create integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
• Build internal tools that reduce manual hours in design and development processes.
• Implement automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and the internal CMS.
• Integrate MCP server components as part of the broader AI stack.

Required profile

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English proficiency sufficient for asynchronous written collaboration with a US‑based team.
