Senior Python Data Engineer

About the role

3Pillar is an AI transformation partner building enterprise‑native AI products. As a Senior Python Data Engineer you will develop data pipelines, custom parsers and visualisation tools that enable our clients to turn scientific data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine strategies for acquiring research data from scientific laboratory instruments.
• Engineer and operationalise custom file parsers for formats such as .xlsx.pdf.txt.raw.fid and proprietary binaries.
• Architect robust data models and scalable pipelines, including unit and integration tests and utility libraries.
• Perform comparative analysis of datasets from similar instruments to design shared, extensible data model components.
• Create visualisations, reports and interactive dashboards using Streamlit, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook and related tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building solutions as a Data Engineer or in a similar field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Python and SQL focused on data processing.
• Experience with data‑plotting and dashboarding tools such as Streamlit, Tableau or Jupyter Notebook is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership of project delivery.
